Sanzida Alam is a graduate student pursuing her Master of Environmental Studies in Sustainability Management (SUSM) at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Before joining Waterloo, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Sustainable Development, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in English and Humanities, with a minor in Sustainable Development Studies, also from ULAB. She is passionate about interdisciplinary research, with interests that include, but are not limited to, non-economic loss and damage, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, climate vulnerabilities, colonial legacies, and sociopolitical and economic inequalities. Beyond academia, Sanzida enjoys creative writing, including short stories, poetry, and scripts.
