Poulami Ghosh is a Master of Science (MS) student in Socio-Ecological Systems and a research assistant working under the supervision of Dr. Jenia Mukherjee at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. She received her Master of Arts (MA) degree in Modern History from University of Delhi and her Bachelor's degree in the History Honours program from the University of Calcutta, where she ranked fourth. She has previously worked as an Intern for AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) being a part of Indian Knowledge System (IKS), focusing upon biodiversity protection and challenges faced in materialization. She is trained as a modern historian, with research interests in environmental history and urban environmentalism, with an emphasis on interconnectedness and interdisciplinarity. She previously worked on issues related to societal norms and gender divide in India, with the aim of achieving community-based developments.
