Dr. Edéya Orobiyi Rodrigue Pèlèbè is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Fisheries Science at the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience, University of Cape Coast, Ghana, under the direction of Prof. Denis W. Aheto. He holds not only a PhD in Fisheries and Aquaculture from the University of Parakou in Benin Republic but also a PhD in Hydrobiology from the Félix HOUPHOUET-BOIGHY University in Côte d’Ivoire. His current research interests are aquaculture, fishing, and fishery products quality, aquatic ecotoxicology, molecular identification and population genetics of fishes, climate change and sustainable adaptation strategies of fish farmers and fishers. Dr. Edéya is a member of the Research Laboratory in Aquaculture and Aquatic Ecotoxicology (LaRAEAq), Faculty of Agronomy, University of Parakou. He has participated in several trainings and courses for building and improving his capacities and has worked with several fish production units, national NGOs and governmental institutions. As an early career researcher, Dr. Edéya has a strong commitment to make science as a powerful development tool for the well-being of populations and the preservation of aquatic resources.
