Sachiko Harada earned her Ph.D. in marine science from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Japan, in 2009. Dr. Harada currently serves as an associate professor at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. Her research focuses on the utilization and conservation of local resources within fishing communities, and she has also been actively engaged in studying international seafood trade.
