Mrs. Aminata Ndiaye is a full Professor at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD), Senegal. Currently, Professor NDIAYE is Director of Academic and Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of Senegal, after having been for two years Head of the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Senegal UCAD. Her research focuses on issues of climate variability / change - landscape dynamics - socio-economic adaptation of African authorities and populations.
Prof NDIAYE is affiliated to the Atmosphere and Ocean Physics Laboratory of the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique (UCAD), the Environment-Nature-Culture Laboratory (ENeC) of Paris Sorbonne. She is also involved in other faculties of UCAD: Faculty of Economics and Management and Faculty of Science and Technology.
Prof. NDIAYE is recognized as IPCC expert as a contributor (report: AR5). She co-chairs since 2009, the Scientific Committee of AMMA-Africa. She is one of 20 specialists in the Strategic Studies Group who assist ACBF in identifying strategic issues and key issues that will enable the Foundation and its international partners to better drive capacity building initiatives in Africa.
Prof NDIAYE is a member of several Boards and Scientific Committees. She is a peer reviewer and has organized several international conferences. She has also hosted numerous conferences on the themes of "Climate Change, Environmental Change; Food Security; Biodiversity; Water Issues in Africa"; etc.
