Rubaiath-E-Jannat

Rubaiath-E-Jannat is a graduate student, pursuing her master’s degree in the Department of Coastal and Marine Fisheries at Sylhet Agricultural University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mahmudul Islam. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Fisheries from the same University. At present, she is particularly interested in research that combines on-ground observations with spatial and environmental perspectives, especially those involving practical applications of location-based data. She has participated in two international conferences as a presenter, focusing on livelihood resilience in stressed environments and Marine Spatial Planning, with a focus on coastal fisheries. She has also participated in multiple training programmes designed for GIS and remote sensing. Her master’s research is focused on identifying a viable and just place for the small-scale fisheries based on current activities in the sea space and the environmental suitability, focusing on various secondary data in sustainable Marine Spatial Planning (MSP).
