Cheikh Amadou Bamba Gaye is a graduate student pursuing Master of research programme on Marines resources management in the University of Quebec in Rimouski (UQAR). He received his Master's degree in fisheries management from the University Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (IUPA) at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD). He also received his Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agri-Food, Fishing and Livestock, specializing in Agricultural Business Management, Animal Production and Plant Production in 2020. His research involves bioecological parameters of Black Hake species (Merluccius polli and Merluccius senegalensis) captured in the Senegalese coasts. Cheikh Amadou obtained a license in fisheries and aquaculture in 2018 and worked on the fishery and biological parameters of Hemiramphus brasiliensis (ballyhoo halfbeak) in Yoff (Dakar, Senegal). He is passionate about fisheries science and the sustainable management of fisheries resources and has a special love for aquatic mammals and sea turtles.
