Akash Kar

Akash Kar is a graduate student pursuing his Master of Environmental Studies in Sustainability Management program at the University of Waterloo. His research will focus on small-scale fisheries, under the supervision of Prof. Prateep Kumar Nayek. His research interests exist in environmental governance, vulnerability and viability of small-scale fisheries, and equity. Akash previously completed an undergraduate degree at Toronto Metropolitan University in Urban and Regional Planning. Previous work and academic experiences helped blend interests of both sustainability and equity.
