University of Waterloo
I am a graduate student pursuing Masters of Environment Studies in Sustainability Management (SUSM) at the University of Waterloo, Canada. I have completed my Bachelor’s in Botany and Master’s in Ecology and Environment Studies from India. I have worked on mangrove ecosystems, sacred groves, and community-integrated biodiversity conservation in several research projects. I am currently working with Professor Prateep Nayak on “Mangrove-Dependent Small-Scale Fishery (SSF) Communities in the Indian Sundarbans – From Vulnerability to Viability”. I will be doing an in-depth I-ADApt case study to bridge the gap between SSF and mangroves so as to move them both from vulnerability to viability.
